The Greenstar Elite

The Greenstar Elite 5000 is a big favorite among raw food enthusiasts and it is known for being one of the best juicers out there. The low speed of the juice press retains vitamins, minerals and enzymes and it also makes sure that a minimal amount of oxygen is mixed into the juice, which, in turn, leads to delayed oxidation. This means that your juice stays fresh longer.

Greenstar operates with a 3-step-process and in the first step the produce is cut and crushed, then mixed and blended in the second step, which further opens up the cell membranes and fibres. In the final step the pulp is pressed, wringing out the juice through a fine or coarse juicing screen.

Greenstar has four different “screens” with different purposes:

In order to provide a gentle extraction, Greenstar uses low-speed extraction, only 110 rpm, which keeps the temperature very low. In addition, the low mixing rate prevents most of the oxygen from mixing with the freshly squeezed juice, which leads to a slower oxidation process and greatly increases the nutritional value of the finished juice.

More basic juicers (centrifuges, cutting machines etc.) damage a lot of vitamins and enzymes because heat is generated during the extraction process. To optimize the quality of the juice, bio-magnets have been integrated into the two conical gears that chew the raw produce in Greenstar. The magnets increase the bioavailability of the minerals and “pull” more minerals into the juice. The minerals are thus more easily absorbed by the body.

With Greenstar Elite you can also make sorbet or purée with your fresh or frozen fruits, as well as delicious deserts with nuts and dried fruits. Greenstar works very well for root vegetables, vegetables and fruits. But you get optimal results if you mix soft fruit with harder fruits, such as an apple. Why “just” a 200 W motor?

It may seem like it is better to have a 500 W motor than a 200 W motor. High-watt models, which usually cut/centrifuge the vegetables and fruits, make juice quickly and grinds down everything. The greatest benefit with the low speed is that a minimal amount of heat is generated (meaning that vitamins, minerals and enzymes survive) and a maximal amount of juice is pulled out of the fibres and cell membranes. As a result, you see a big difference between the juice and the dry residual waste.
