Yerba Mate, 250g organic

Yerba Mate is Argentina's national drink. It has gained widespread popularity internationally as well, thanks to its healthy properties and characteristic, good taste. This Yerba Mate is made from organically grown Ilex paraguariensis, where the leaves are carefully cleaned by hand to preserve as much as possible of the plant's active substances. Traditionally, Mate tea is drunk from a gourd through a straw called bombilla.

Usage: Bring 2 liters of cold water to a boil and then add 2 tablespoons of Yerba Mate and let it boil for a while. Add some cold water and remove the pot from the heat. When you can see that all the leaves have sunk to the bottom, you can filter out the leaves. It is also good to add other herbs or lemon for taste. The drink can be enjoyed plain or sweetened, for example with honey or coconut sugar.
