Yerba Mate, 1kg organic

Yerba Mate is Argentina's national drink. It has gained widespread popularity internationally, thanks to its beneficial properties and its characteristic, good taste. This Yerba Mate is made from organically grown Ilex paraguariensis, where the leaves are carefully cleaned by hand to preserve as much as possible of the plant's active substances. Traditionally, Mate tea is drunk from a calabash through a straw called a bombilla.

Usage: Bring 2 liters of cold water to a boil and then add 2 tablespoons of Yerba Mate and let it simmer for a while. Add some cold water and remove the pot from the heat. When you can see that all the leaves have sunk to the bottom, you can filter out the leaves. You can also add other herbs or lemon for flavor. The beverage can be enjoyed plain or sweetened, for example with honey or coconut sugar.
