Consider adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to an aroma lamp (or a bowl with hot, freshly boiled water) to keep the air fresh and enhance concentration: excellent for mental fatigue.
A truly fantastic oil for colds or allergy symptoms that opens up the airways. Take a few drops in a light carrier oil (e.g., jojoba oil/sesame oil) and massage into the back and chest during colds/coughs. Apply to the feet in the evening before bedtime to relieve any cough, which we find works excellently.
Add a few drops of peppermint and eucalyptus to boiled water in a pot, add the drops when it's freshly boiled and inhale under a towel. An old proven home remedy that works. Note! keep your eyes closed! It is very effective against nasal congestion and colds. Not for use with asthma.
You can also add a few drops of eucalyptus and peppermint to the bath when experiencing cold symptoms or breathing difficulties.
NOTE! Eucalyptus oil is not recommended for children under 3 years or those who have asthma.

Safety with Essential Oils:
*Essential oils almost always require dilution before use on skin, textiles, and other materials - a few drops go a long way. *Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, can cause serious eye irritation. *It is important to know exactly which oils are safe to use for children, during illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Many are not. *A simple skin patch test is recommended if hypersensitivity is suspected. *Essential oils should never be consumed in concentrated form - it can be life-threatening! *Citrus oils such as bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime make the skin photosensitive. Avoid strong sunlight and tanning beds for at least 24 hours after skin application. *Each bottle should have a dropper insert for safe dosing. *Keep essential oils out of sight and reach of children. *Store the oil in a dark, cool, and airtight place to minimize oxidation.
