This rich, sticky oil is highly valued as a powerful cleanser for the skin. It is said to be a rejuvenating oil, used in facial oils and treatments due to its astringent effect. Myrrh has warming properties and is perfect to add to massage oils.
Myrrh essential oil (Commiphora molmol).
1. It is said to be a rejuvenating oil, used for facial oils, facial treatments, and firming body oils as it has an astringent effect. Start with 2-3 drops per 10 ml of oil and increase if desired.
2. Feel free to mix myrrh with your favorite carrier oil such as almond oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, or grape seed oil for a very effective facial oil that keeps the skin supple and fresh.
3. Also suitable to mix with a nail care oil as myrrh is believed to strengthen nails and prevent them from becoming brittle.
4. Suitable as a meditation oil in an aroma lamp. The oil is calming and is believed to help the mind open to spirituality.
