Organic Cocoa Powder
This cocoa powder is slow-roasted, organically certified, and rich in antioxidants and other nutrients. This cocoa has been roasted for a long time at lower temperatures, which gives it a mild, rounded, and very full-bodied cocoa flavor.
Why eat cocoa?
Cocoa powder contains several beneficial substances:
- Large number of antioxidants.
- Magnesium, calcium, zinc, and iron. It is a very rich source of magnesium.
- The amino acid Tryptophan occurs naturally in cocoa. Tryptophan is, among other things, essential for the production of Serotonin.
- Cocoa contains, among other things, PEA (also found in blue-green algae). Phenylethylamine (PEA) is a chemical that the body produces when falling in love; this is probably the reason why chocolate and love are often connected.
How to use cocoa powder:
Mix into smoothies and protein drinks.
Blend with nut butter and sweeteners such as stevia, honey, agave, coconut sugar or lucuma, for the most delicious desserts.
Use in cookies, brownies or pies: just add a tablespoon.
Mix with dried fruit, nuts and coconut to make "energy balls". You can then add your favorite superfoods to the balls such as pollen, lucuma, maca, mesquite, spirulina, AFA algae, reishi powder etc.
Mix with almond, oat or rice drink and honey for a creamy dark chocolate drink that tastes wonderful. You can add spices like ginger, cinnamon or cardamom if desired.
Mix with oat milk/cashew milk and a ripe pear for a luxurious chocolate drink. Ripe pear is an excellent natural sweetener.
Mix with raw coconut oil or hemp oil and agave nectar or yacon syrup - to make a raw chocolate syrup. Drizzle over fruit salad or ice cream. Perfect for dipping goji berries or mulberries in, yummy!
Make your own raw chocolate: Mix with cocoa butter, pure vanilla powder, your favorite sweetener and optional flavorings such as nuts, dried berries, ginger, chili, green tea, mint, superfoods, etc. Be creative! Let it set in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
