This is B6 in the form of P5P (Pyridoxin-5-Phosphate). P5P is the active form of B6.

In food and dietary supplements, B6 can be found in three common forms: pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine. Inside the body, all these three forms must be converted in the liver to the active form that the body can use; P5P. Some people may have difficulty converting B6 to its active form.

The European Food Safety Authority, EFSA, has established a link between vitamin B6 and:

• metabolism of protein and glycogen.
• normal functioning of the nervous system.
• formation of red blood cells.
• maintenance of a normal immune system.
• regulation of hormonal activity.

Adult dosage: 1 capsule daily with food.
