Peppermint essential oil has a fresh, cooling, and minty scent that provides a refreshing feeling. It is perfect for use in a diffuser to create a fresh and energizing atmosphere at home. Peppermint oil is a versatile essential oil that can also be used in homemade skincare and massage oils when diluted with a vegetable carrier oil.
Organic Peppermint Essential Oil (Mentha piperita).
1. Mix in a light organic oil (such as jojoba, almond, or avocado) and use as a cooling body oil for warm, itchy, and oily skin, for aching muscles, sore legs, or tired feet.
2. Rub on the feet in the evening before bedtime to relieve any cough, it works great in our experience. 2-3 drops per 10 ml of oil. You can also try this oil on the temples to prevent/relieve tension headaches.
3. For colds and coughs; take a few drops of peppermint and eucalyptus in boiled water in a pot, add the drops when the water is just boiled and inhale under a towel. An old proven home remedy that works. Note! Keep your eyes closed! It is very effective against nasal congestion and colds. Note! Not for those with asthma or small children.
4. You can also add a few drops of eucalyptus and peppermint to the bath during a cold - 2-4 drops is enough.
5. Peppermint is also great for hair treatments as it helps prevent dandruff. Dilute 5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of hair oil.
NOTE! Peppermint oil is NOT recommended for children under 3 years or for pregnant women.
