Holistic Vitamin D provides 2000 IU (50 μg) D3 dissolved in organic coconut oil, which allows the body to absorb the vitamin effectively even if taken on an empty stomach.

Keep in mind that
For the body to produce vitamin D, the skin needs to be exposed to the sun's UVB rays. How much vitamin D is produced depends, among other things, on how much skin surface is exposed, the season, time of day, skin type, and use of clothing or sunscreen. During the winter months in the Nordic region, the sun's UVB radiation is too weak for the skin to produce significant amounts of vitamin D.
Vitamin D levels are lowest in late winter and early spring
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be stored in the body. The levels built up during the sunnier months contribute to the body's vitamin D status during winter, when production in the skin is limited. Therefore, vitamin D levels are often at their lowest in late winter and early spring.
Complement with magnesium and vitamin K2
We recommend complementing vitamin D with magnesium and vitamin K2. The reason is that all minerals and vitamins interact and act as each other's antagonists or synergists.
