Out of stock
Optimal Prenatal MF is a multivitamin and mineral supplement developed to provide nutritional support throughout the different stages of motherhood, from the time before pregnancy and during pregnancy to the period after childbirth and during breastfeeding. MF stands for non-methylated.
Before, during and after pregnancy
If you are planning to become pregnant, it is recommended that you start taking the supplement at least three months before conception. During pregnancy, Optimal Prenatal MF provides a broad spectrum of important vitamins and minerals that complement the diet during this nutritionally demanding period. After childbirth, you can continue taking the supplement to meet the increased need for certain nutrients during recovery and breastfeeding.
Folic acid and adenosylcobalamin
Optimal Prenatal MF does not contain methylated forms of B vitamins, which some people are sensitive to. The product contains non-methylated folate in the form of calcium folinate, together with non-methylated vitamin B12 in the forms of hydroxocobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Folic acid contributes to DNA synthesis and cell growth. Adenosylcobalamin supports cellular energy in the mitochondria.
In addition, Multivitamin One MF contains, among other things
Other important B vitamins
B vitamins such as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, biotin and pantothenic acid. These important B vitamins contribute to normal energy metabolism, while several of them also contribute to the normal function of the nervous system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Vitamin A and lutein
Contains two forms of vitamin A and lutein, nutrients that contribute to the maintenance of normal vision. Vitamin A also contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin D3 and K2
Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal muscle function and normal bones. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal blood coagulation.
Chelated minerals (Albion®)
The minerals in the formula are chelated, which means they are bound to amino acids. This form is designed to provide the minerals with good bioavailability.
Seeking Health Iron with Cofactors
If your midwife or doctor recommends an iron supplement, Seeking Health Iron with Cofactors may be an option. It contains iron together with selected complementary nutrients.
Omega-3 fatty acids are also important
Omega-3 fatty acids are also important during pregnancy. DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in fetuses and breastfed infants. Therefore, an omega-3 supplement can be a good complement to the diet during pregnancy and breastfeeding
