Light to medium-light hair, i.e. white, gray and blonde hair to medium-blonde hair can develop green or blue tints in the hair when choosing to color with shades that don't contain any red or colors that are dark.
This applies to all herbal hair dyes regardless of brand.
Shades that don't have red in them are e.g. black, indigo and dark brown. Some dark brown shades have red in them but are so dark (contain such a large proportion of "dark herbs") that they can still give green/blue tints to the hair.
Therefore I generally say that this applies to ALL dark shades.
Why do you get green hair?
This happens due to the absence of red pigments in the hair from the start. If you have a hair color completely without red pigments, you get green hair or blue tints when coloring with dark shades.
Many blonde and medium-blonde people have very little red in their hair without it looking red. It looks more golden blonde/brown instead. Therefore these can color with dark brown shades and still get nice results.
What can you do about it?
Look at the color wheel. Red is the opposite color to green. Therefore you need to add red to neutralize the green.
If you've accidentally colored your hair and gotten your entire hair green, you can remove the green by coloring with a shade that contains red. Choose a pre-mixed shade such as red-brown or mix in some red yourself into your hair color.
The greener hair you've gotten, the more red is needed.
Do a strand test at the nape of your neck if you're unsure whether your hair has red in it or not.If it turns green, you must mix in some red into the color. Experiment with the amounts, but 1 tablespoon of red color may be enough if you're mixing with a light brown shade.
If you want to mix with a dark brown or black shade, much more red is required. Always do a strand test until you get the desired color result.
If you absolutely don't want red in the color result, you can do two-step coloring as Khadi beautifully shows on their color chart.
This means you first color the hair completely red and then color with your dark hair color. Then you get a completely covering dark result without red in it.
Two-step coloring is the safest way for good results, without having to experiment with the amount of red in your hair color.

Other factors that can cause green hair
There are other factors that can cause green hair. High levels of chlorine in swimming pools can give people with light hair green hair. This also applies to those who bleach their hair.
Water from houses with new copper pipes can also give people with light hair green hair in connection with coloring with herbal hair dyes. I know there are skilled hairdressers who can remove both chlorine and copper from the hair.
However, I don't know if you can remove the green caused by copper or chlorine by applying a red herbal hair dye. Maybe someone who knows?
