Bicarbonate is used for e.g. deodorants, toothpaste, hair washing (no-poo), body scrub, beneficial baths or home cleaning. The product contains no solvent residues or preservatives. Food grade/Food raw material - approved food additive. 1 kg.
Baking Soda
Baking soda has expanded its range of uses beyond its function as a leavening agent in baking.
Different areas of use:
Baking soda in the bathtub: Add approximately 1-2 dl to a bath or 1 tablespoon to a foot bath of 5 liters.
Baking soda in "no poo" shampooing: wet your hair and massage in 1-3 teaspoons of baking soda mixed with a little water into your scalp. Let it work for a few minutes and then rinse out with water. The final rinse is best done with about 1/2 apple cider vinegar and possibly a few drops of essential oil. You can also pour a small amount of baking soda directly into your shampoo and wash as usual.
Dry shampoo: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda onto your scalp. After that, just comb, style, and go on adventures.
Deodorant: Baking soda counteracts sweating and body odor, which is why several of our deodorant creams contain baking soda.
Toothpaste: Baking soda has a mild abrasive effect that helps remove plaque and tartar as well as remove tooth discoloration.
Beautiful nails: Create a "paste" with warm water and baking soda, then gently rub it on your cuticles with a toothbrush. The result is soft and well-cared-for cuticles.
For stains on clothes: Moisten the fabric with cold water and rub the baking soda into the fabric and let it work for about an hour. Then simply rinse and wash as usual.
Kitchen Cleaning:
a) Clean the refrigerator and freezer with baking soda on a damp cloth. Rinse with clean water. The plastic parts of the refrigerator will look like new.
b) Bad odors in the refrigerator: Eliminate unpleasant smells in the refrigerator by placing a small bowl of baking soda (without a lid) at the back of the fridge. Stir or shake the baking soda occasionally and replace it every other month.
c) You can reduce or completely eliminate odors from your kitchen waste bin by covering the bottom of the bin with baking soda before inserting a new garbage bag.
d) Regularly freshen up your dishwasher by running the rinse cycle with some baking soda in the bottom of the machine.
It also removes stains and streaks from hard water.
Unclog drains: Pour a few tablespoons of bicarbonate into the drain you want to clean, then add approximately 1 dl (about 1/2 cup) of vinegar and let it work for about 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot water. Can be repeated if needed.
Contents: 100% Bicarbonate. Ingredient: Sodium bicarbonate E500; approved food additive. INCI: Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO₃). Chemical name: Sodium hydrogencarbonate. Made from table salt and carbon dioxide. The product contains no solvent residues or preservatives.
Approved by The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation as a Good Environmental Choice for alkaline substances. KRAV-certified acid / base / salt.
Manufactured by Crearome, Sweden. They offer controlled Swedish natural cosmetics whose body products provide quality, enjoyment, and environmental friendliness.
How is bicarbonate manufactured?
Bicarbonate is manufactured from lime (calcium carbonate, CaCO3) and salt (sodium chloride, NaCl) through the "ammonia-soda process". The raw materials are limestone and salt water. The produced "raw" bicarbonate is filtered to form a clear solution, which is then bubbled through with carbon dioxide to form bicarbonate crystals. These are centrifuged, washed, dried and ground/sieved and packaged.
Regarding Aluminum: Aluminum is the most common metal in the Earth's crust, which means that aluminum is present in small amounts everywhere in our environment. In Sweden, adults consume approximately 5-13 milligrams per day. Crearome's Bicarbonate contains 0.2 mg aluminum/kg. The aluminum comes from the raw materials limestone and salt water.
What is baking powder then?
Baking powder consists of bicarbonate but with several additives, this varies and should be read on the respective product.
