Copal Resin
Copal resin has an exquisite fragrance, combining pine and lemon. It is said to promote spiritual pursuit and is used as a means for protection and clearing the mind.
Copal was "the food of the gods" in ancient South American civilizations and was used in sacred rituals. Copal provides a fresh, citrusy and balsamic pine scent and is ideal for dispersing negative thoughts. Its fragrance is said to cleanse the mind.
How to use?
Benjoin du Laos is best used in a mixture with other resins. To release the fragrance, it should be heated in an aroma lamp or burned on glowing coal.
In aroma diffuser / aroma lamp (see image):
Fill the bowl to 2/3 with sand. Light the candle and place your resin mixture on the sand. For a softer emission, you can replace the sand with water and make sure to refill before it evaporates completely, so the mixture doesn't burn.
The fragrance is released after a few minutes, when the sand or water reaches a warmer temperature.
Contents: This copal comes from Bursera bippinata, which is white copal. Copal is a term from Nahuatl (Aztec) meaning "incense". There are different types of copal resin and various tree species from which it is extracted.
