Shampoo Bar with Horsetail, Nettle and Birch
This shampoo bar from Ekendahls contains apple cider vinegar, tea, and oil extracts from beneficial herbs including horsetail, nettle, and birch. Horsetail is rich in silica, which has strengthening properties. Nettles are packed with minerals, especially iron. Nettle provides a stimulating effect on the scalp and is known to help prevent hair loss and reduce dandruff. Birch is full of saponins and helps prevent hair loss while making the hair soft. The essential oils of geranium and patchouli can prevent and soothe dandruff and/or dry scalp.
Ekendahls soaps are handmade, which means they don't always come in exactly the same shape, size, or appearance.
Fragrance: Fresh floral scent with notes of rose and citrus.
Size: 110 - 120 g.
Suitable for: Suitable for most hair types.
How to use: Thoroughly wet your hair and the soap bar, work up a lather by rubbing the soap between your palms or directly on your scalp. Massage the soap into your scalp and then rinse thoroughly with water. If desired, you can perform an acid rinse after shampooing to restore the pH balance.
It may take some time for your hair and scalp to adjust to using a natural shampoo bar. Initially, your hair might feel greasy and you may need to wash it more frequently. This is because commercial shampoos are strongly degreasing, and the scalp needs to compensate by producing more oil.
Most hair and scalps adapt quite quickly to a mild shampoo bar.
Care: Take good care of your soap. Let it drain and dry after use. This will make the soap last longer.
Facts: Ekendahls is a small family business founded by a mother and daughter, two dedicated individuals who both felt they had enough of skin-related issues such as eczema and acne. Together, they chose to immerse themselves in the art of developing skincare products from natural ingredients, and after many hours of research and knowledge acquisition, the Ekendahls brand could finally be launched. This is where you turn if you're looking for certified organic body care products containing 100% natural ingredients.
The ingredients in Ekendahls' eco-products range from calendula to thistle oil, and some of the plants used come from the family's own garden. Others are foraged from the wild, and what's common for the composition of all final products is that they are as organic as humanly possible. Furthermore, all products are completely free from GMO, silicones, palm oil, preservatives, surfactants such as SLS and SLES - to name just a few of the highly conscious choices the company has made. The products are safety assessed and registered with CPNP.
