Safety with essential oils:
*Essential oils almost always require dilution before use on skin, textiles, and other materials - a few drops go a long way. *Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, can cause serious eye irritation. *It is important to know exactly which oils are safe to use for children, during illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Many are not. *A simple skin test is recommended if hypersensitivity is suspected. *Essential oils should never be consumed in concentrated form - life-threatening! *Citrus oils such as bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime make the skin photosensitive. Avoid strong sunlight and tanning beds for at least 24 hours after applying to the skin.
*Each bottle should have a dropper insert for safe dosing. *Keep essential oils out of sight and reach of children. *Store the oil in a dark, cool and airtight place to minimize oxidation.
