Tea Tree is a famous natural antiseptic oil that is effective against bacteria and fungi. The scent of Tea Tree has a fresh fragrance with a light woody tone. Tea Tree is a powerful oil against bacteria and fungi with a fresh, strong scent that most people enjoy.
Always dilute Tea Tree before use in a carrier oil as it is a very strong essential oil. Dilute 5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of carrier oil (such as jojoba, almond, apricot or avocado) for general skin application.
For acne: Apply one drop directly on a cotton swab and then dab on the acne spot. Note: Do not apply to the entire face, too strong!
Common cold: Drop 2-4 drops in boiling water and inhale under a towel. Can be mixed with eucalyptus or peppermint.
Sore throat and mouthwash for inflamed gums: 1-2 drops in water, gargle several times per day and spit out. Note: DO NOT swallow!
Athlete's foot: Add a few drops to a foot bath for athlete's foot and nail fungus, or apply one drop directly to the affected area.
Dandruff: Massage into the scalp with 5-8 drops of Tea tree diluted in 1/2 dl oil, e.g., jojoba oil or avocado oil. Leave for 15 minutes. Wash hair as usual. Some sensitive individuals may react. You can also add a few drops directly to shampoo, approximately 8 drops per 200 ml of shampoo.
Disinfectant: Use up to 1 teaspoon per liter of water for diaper bins or refrigerators.

*Essential oils almost always require dilution before use on skin, textiles, and other materials - a few drops go a long way. *Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, as it can cause serious eye irritation. *It is important to know exactly which oils are safe to use for children, during illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Many are not. *A simple skin patch test is recommended if hypersensitivity is suspected. *Essential oils should never be ingested in concentrated form - it can be life-threatening! *Citrus oils such as bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime make the skin photosensitive. Avoid strong sunlight and tanning beds for at least 24 hours after skin application. *Each bottle should have a dropper insert for safe dosing. *Keep essential oils out of sight and reach of children. *Store the oil in a dark, cool, and airtight place to minimize oxidation.
