Klippan Yllefabrik Wool Blanket – Balloon
A wonderfully soft, cozy, and warm wool blanket from Klippan Yllefabrik. The wool blanket is made of 50% recycled lamb's wool and 50% lamb's wool without chlorine bleaching and with colors free from heavy metals. The blanket is as beautiful on the front side with dogs as it is on the mirrored back side. The lamb's wool is completely free from pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in raising the lambs.
By using leftover materials from wool production, each manufacture gets its own character. This means that color shades may vary, but that's what makes each throw special. It creates unique products every time. At the same time, the manufacturing process is a sustainable choice that reduces waste and gives new life to existing resources.
The blanket is 65 x 90 cm and is best suited for babies or small children. The blanket looks nice in the stroller, in bed, or on the floor. It's suitable for most occasions where a warming wool blanket is needed. Wool has very good properties. For example, you don't need to wash wool blankets/throws so often as they have self-cleaning properties. The wool itself is also dirt-repellent, and dirt settles on the surface; this is because the wool contains natural fats.
Color: Green/Beige.
Care: It's easy to freshen up wool throws; hang your wool throw outdoors when it's a bit damp outside, then it cleans itself. If you still want to wash the throw, we ask you to follow the washing instructions for each blanket/throw.
Washing instructions: Machine wash at 30 degrees, wool program only. Wash separately. Iron at medium temperature. Do not tumble dry. Do not use bleach.
All wool tends to pill over time. The finer the wool, the more sensitive it is. Pills occur from friction. This means that you should avoid too high a load on the blankets, e.g., they are not suitable as a seat cushion or for covering the sofa. To make the blankets soft and airy, you brush them up. A blanket can be brushed several times using, for example, velcro or a steel comb. Hold the velcro vertically and grip both ends with your thumb and forefinger. The bend of the velcro branches should be in the same direction as you intend to brush. If you hold it correctly, it should be easy to brush, not jerky and heavy. Brush the blanket from the inside out with long, even, sweeping strokes. Remember not to brush too hard as it's easy to get stuck and pull out too much of the wool fibers. Go through the blanket bit by bit until it's airy and even on the surface. Finish by hanging out and shaking the blanket.
Material: Made of 100% lamb's wool (Lamb's wool means the first shearing of a sheep that is no more than six months old). The wool comes from New Zealand and is mulesing-free. The lamb's wool is completely free from pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in raising the lambs. Dyed with colors free from heavy metals, not chlorine bleached. Swedish design, manufactured in the company's own factory in Riga, Latvia. Certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means that the blanket has been tested for harmful chemicals.
