Motherwort is a perennial herb belonging to the mint family. It received its name Motherwort because it was used by pregnant women in ancient Greece for its calming effects.
The Chinese, on the other hand, attribute longevity to Motherwort. In fact, a Chinese legend tells of a young man who was banished to a valley where the only thing that grew was an abundance of Motherwort plants. Because he consumed this daily, he lived for over 300 years.
Adult Dosage: 2 ml (56 drops) up to three times per day in a small amount of water.
