Making your own milk at home is very simple and delicious. Nut milk is an excellent alternative if you are lactose intolerant or vegan. Not only is it easy to prepare, but it's also very tasty and healthy.
How to make nut milk:
When making your own milk from nuts or seeds, it's important to soak the nuts or seeds because they contain phytic acid. Phytic acid blocks the absorption of important minerals. By soaking the nuts overnight, you deactivate the phytic acid, and the next morning, you drain the water, and the nuts are ready to be blended into a delicious milk.
Pour the nuts into a blender, add water, and press start.
After they have been thoroughly mixed in the blender, pour the milk into the bag and strain out the milk from the pulp.
Use your hand to squeeze out the milk from the pulp into a bowl. Now the milk is ready!
Tips: Now you can also flavor the milk. Add sweeteners such as stevia, coconut palm sugar, or honey for sweetness. Also add sugar-free vanilla powder and a small pinch of salt. If you add cocoa, you'll get a wonderful healthy chocolate drink. A tip is to mix cashew milk with a pear and raw cocoa powder, which is very tasty. Save the pulp, it works as a substitute for breadcrumbs and is perfect for raw food desserts like cookies.
