Primal Defense also contains homeostatic soil organisms (HSO) - which naturally existed in soil before the era of mass production. Unlike many other probiotic products, the key bacteria in Primal Defense can thrive in the toughest digestive environments and are not deterred by stomach acid and bile acids.
One Primal Defense tablet contains 610 mg of beneficial bacteria from 12 different bacterial strains. The difference between Primal Defense and Primal Defense Ultra is that Ultra contains 13 strains and comes in Ultra Zorbe capsules - not as tablets.
Adult dosage: 1-3 tablets daily with a large glass of water. Works optimally on an empty stomach. For children aged 3 to 10 years, we recommend our probiotics for children. Primal Defense can also be given to pets.
When traveling abroad: 1-3 tablets daily, starting 2 weeks before travel and continuing until 1 week after return. This ensures you have good intestinal flora when encountering foreign bacteria, which is the best protection against traveler's diarrhea. Most illnesses contracted abroad are due to harmful bacteria in water and food. It is advised to only drink bottled water.

Why is Primal Defense not a vegan product?
Primal Defense is cultivated in a growth medium containing milk. Dairy products are used to produce significant amounts of lactic acid bacteria, providing the complex amino acids required for growing microorganisms. Since the purpose is to feed the growing organisms, the vast majority is consumed during fermentation. The final product contains neither casein nor lactose but cannot be called vegan, only vegetarian.
