Himalayan salt is an unrefined crystal salt that has formed over millions of years. It is a flavorful and natural gourmet salt, completely free from anti-caking agents. The salt used is hand-mined from salt blocks that have been washed and then dried in the sun. The salt can be used directly on food or in a salt cellar. The characteristic pink color comes from naturally occurring minerals, including iron.
The Himalayan salt is tested for heavy metals such as Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury, Lead and Copper. The results vary from almost zero to values far below the EU limits.
How do I use the salt?
You can use it in cooking. These granules can be placed in a salt mill or ground with a mortar. You can use it in your nasal irrigation pot. You can use it as bath salt. Dissolve 300-500 g of salt in the water and bathe for 20 minutes, let the body air dry. You can use it as a body scrub. Mix 1 part organic body oil and two parts salt and optionally 20 drops of essential oil. You can use it in a foot bath. Mix 1 dl of salt with 15 drops of essential oil. Stir and add everything to the water.
