Schisandra berry, from the plant Schisandra chinensis, is known as the “quintessence of Chinese tonic herbs” and is an antioxidant and adaptogen with a very high nutritional content. Schizandra has been used since the beginning of Chinese civilization and is still an elite in the Chinese herbal system.

The very name Schisandra in Chinese; Wu Wei Zi, says a lot about the qualities this herb possesses. Wu Wei Zi means “Fruit of Five Flavors” because Schizandra possesses all five of the classic flavors (sour, bitter, sweet, spicy and salty) and thus possesses the essence of all five of the elemental energies (wood, fire, earth, metal and water). Schizandra is respected as a health tonic in the same class with Ginseng, Reishi and Goji.

Dosage adults: 1-2 ml (28-56 drops) up to three times a day in a small amount of water. Note: Not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The recommended dose should not be exceeded. Dietary supplements should not be used as an alternative to a varied diet. Store dry and out of the reach of children.
