Vegetarian Product: Vitamin Code RAW D3 is labeled as vegetarian and not vegan because the formula contains RAW Food-created vitamin D3 where the original source of D3 used in the process comes from lanolin from sheep's wool. There is no lanolin in the finished product, but Garden of Life wants to be respectful to those who are vegan and has therefore labeled it as vegetarian. No animals were harmed/killed in the process.
