Shea Butter is an unrefined shea butter that softens even the driest skin. The shea butter has been gently processed under 40°C to preserve all active nutrients. It can be used on the face, as a lip balm, and on the body to provide extra moisture and nourishment to the skin. Shea butter has anti-inflammatory and sun-protective properties.
What it does: The fatty surface of shea butter protects against weather, wind, irritation and preserves moisture well. It accelerates skin healing and is beneficial for dry, chapped, flaky and cracked skin, minor wounds, eczema-prone skin and sunburn. Can be used on sunburns and other minor burns.
Suitable for: Shea butter is suitable for all skin types, especially dry, mature, sensitive, damaged and tired skin.
Usage: Apply a small amount to face and body. The shea butter is solid and firm in consistency at room temperature. Scrape off a small amount using a spoon or spatula, let it soften in your palm and then apply. The butter absorbs quickly into the skin as it melts at body temperature. For easier application, melt the shea butter in a water bath under 40°C.
