Baking soda has a wide range of applications in the home. It is a multifunctional product that cleans, polishes, and eliminates odors while having a neutralizing ability. The baking soda is water-soluble and environmentally friendly as it is made from natural ingredients of limestone and salt.
Usage: Baking soda is useful for cleaning in the home, workshop, or garden. It is simple and economical to use as a scouring powder, descaling agent, laundry booster, dishwashing detergent, oven cleaner, for eliminating odors, removing grease stains, cleaning silver, or as a water softener.
Some tips for cleaning in the kitchen:
a) Clean the refrigerator and freezer with baking soda on a damp cloth. Rinse with clean water. The plastic parts of the refrigerator will look like new.
b) Bad odor in the refrigerator: Make unpleasant odors disappear by placing a small bowl of baking soda (without a lid) at the back of the fridge. Shake or stir the baking soda occasionally and replace it every other month.
c) You can reduce or completely eliminate odors from the kitchen trash bin by covering the bottom of the bin with baking soda before inserting a new garbage bag.
d) Regularly freshen up your dishwasher by running the rinse cycle with some baking soda in the bottom of the machine. It also removes stains and streaks from hard water.
e) Use baking soda to clean your wooden cutting boards. Scrub with a brush and rinse with warm water. The baking soda absorbs the dirt without damaging the wood.
Unclog Drains: Pour a few tablespoons of baking soda into the drain you want to clean, then add approximately 100 ml of vinegar to the drain and let it work for about 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot water. Can be repeated if necessary.
