Gröna Gredelina's Aleppo soap/laurel soap is a universal soap made from olive oil (olea europa) and laurel oil (laururs nobile) derived from the fruits of the laurel tree. The laurel tree grows primarily in Syria and around the Mediterranean. This oil-based Aleppo soap has been manufactured using the same method since 0 BC and doesn't dry out either skin or hair. Instead, it helps to soothe the skin and is perfect for those who have sensitive skin, eczema, or extremely dry skin.
The more laurel oil the soap contains, the milder and more nourishing it is for the skin. The soap has a naturally fresh scent of olive oil and laurel oil. The laurel oil has antibacterial properties, which means bacteria cannot thrive in the soap.
Usage: Use as regular soap for hand washing and pets.
An Aleppo soap is excellent for the No Poo (No shampoo method) and can be used as shampoo. When washing hair with Aleppo soap, which has a high pH value, the hair's pH balance may need to be restored with a rinse or spray using a product with a low (acidic) pH value, or a conditioner. Mix for example 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water. Also perfect for the whole body, hands, and baby care. The Aleppo soap comes with a sturdy sisal string for practical hanging. The Aleppo soap is hand-cooked, sun-dried (9 months), and hand-cut.
