Vitamin D is the only known nutrient that we can obtain both from sunlight and through diet. In Sweden, only during midday in summer is the sun strong enough for us. During the winter months, we cannot produce any Vitamin D at all, which is why we may need supplementation.

Medical conditions that regularly improve during June-August or in connection with sunny vacations may be suspected to be related to Vitamin D deficiency.

Foods rich in Vitamin D:

Vitamin D is the most rare vitamin found in food – especially in the doses that researchers now recommend. Foods rich in Vitamin D include fatty fish, egg yolks, and naturally fatty summer-produced dairy products. Vegetarian diets are low in Vitamin D.

Adult Dosage: 1 capsule per day or as recommended.

Recommended dose should not be exceeded. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a dry place and keep out of reach of children.
