Pau D'Arco is an herbal tea made from the inner bark of the Lapacho tree. Lapacho bark is a natural remedy that has been used by South American populations for 1,000 years. It contains abundant minerals, trace elements, and other active substances. Lapacho tea can be consumed daily as a mineral-rich beverage, as a social tea, or chilled as a mealtime drink.
It can also be used externally for compresses and washing, eye baths, poultices, and as a bath additive. For these purposes, use a "double strength" tea made from the tea powder as an external liniment for infected areas of the skin.

You can use sweeteners in the tea such as raw sugar, honey, or stevia. Stevia and lime juice (1-2 teaspoons) taste very good in it, or you can mix it with olive leaf tea or other herbal teas such as peppermint. The tea itself has a sweet taste with notes of bark.
If you take doses that are too strong, you may experience mild nausea. In this case, simply reduce the strength or amount of tea. These symptoms usually disappear after a few days.
