Organic Matcha Tea Ceremonial Grade A
Renée Voltaire's organic Japanese Matcha tea is of Ceremonial Grade from Uji in Kyoto, an area known for its first-class tea. The Matcha is stone-ground from carefully shaded tea leaves from the first harvest and consists of a balanced blend of several selected cultivars.
The climate in Kyoto, with warm summers, cold winters, and misty mountains, creates unique growing conditions that produce deep green leaves with a naturally rich flavor. By blending different cultivars, a consistent quality and flavor profile is ensured, year after year, despite nature's variations. The result is a tea with perfect balance between sweetness, umami, and refined astringency, with a beautiful, clear green color.
Usage: Use a traditional matcha scoop for dosing:
- For a normal strength matcha, take one scoop.
- For a stronger variant, like a matcha espresso, use a heaped scoop. Whisk the powder in hot water (about 70°C) with a bamboo whisk, while slowly pouring in more water for a smooth and fine consistency.
Weight: 30 grams.
Storage: The matcha powder should always be stored in the included designed tin can. It has an extra inner plastic lid that seals tightly and protects the powder from oxidation. Pour the entire contents from the bag into the can and seal carefully for best durability and flavor.
