Taking care of your body doesn’t have to be complicated. Quite the opposite. Sometimes it's the simplest things that make the biggest difference. A warm foot bath after a long day. A body oil that smells lovely and leaves your skin soft. A few minutes just for you, without stress.
Here we share three of our favorite recipes – easy to mix yourself using only natural ingredients.
Epsom Salt Foot Bath – for tired feet and a magnesium boost
A foot bath can work wonders. Not just for sore feet, but for your whole body. With Epsom salt, you also get a dose of magnesium sulfate that softens the water and helps your body relax.
You’ll need:
3 tbsp Epsom salt
5 drops essential lavender or peppermint oil
A basin with warm water
How to:
Mix the salt and oil into the water. Lavender helps you wind down before bed. Peppermint feels cooling and invigorating – perfect after a hot day or a workout. Soak your feet for 15–20 minutes. Lean back. Maybe with a book – or just enjoy the silence.
Cleansing Foot Soak with Tea Tree and Extra Care
Damp, enclosed shoes and socks can easily create an imbalanced environment for your feet. If the skin between your toes feels irritated or your feet smell more than usual, it might be time for a natural, soothing soak with ingredients that keep things fresh and clean.
You’ll need:
2 tbsp Epsom salt
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 drops essential tea tree oil
1 liter warm water
How to:
Mix everything in a basin. Soak your feet for 10–15 minutes. Dry them thoroughly afterwards – including between the toes. Finish with a light oil blend: 1 tsp jojoba oil and 1 drop tea tree oil. Apply a thin layer and let it fully absorb.
Apply Body Oil After the Shower
After a warm shower, your skin is most receptive. A body oil locks in moisture and nourishes the skin without clogging it. Choose oils that suit your skin type and add an essential oil for scent and feel.
You’ll need:
70 ml cold-pressed jojoba oil
30 ml cold-pressed argan oil
10 drops essential lemongrass or eucalyptus oil
How to:
Pour into a clean glass bottle and shake gently. Massage into damp skin straight after showering – this helps the oil absorb better and leaves your skin soft without feeling greasy.
Tips:
Want a richer feel? Replace part of the jojoba oil with coconut oil.
Want it even more relaxing? Add a few drops of lavender or myrrh oil.
A Refreshing Body Mist
A facial mist in a larger bottle works great as a body mist too. Use it after a workout, on warm days, or whenever you want to freshen up without a shower.
You’ll need:
50 ml lavender water or orange blossom water
2 drops essential rosemary or peppermint oil
How to:
Fill the bottle with the liquid and shake well. Spray over shoulders, chest, and arms. Let it air dry.
Tip:
Store the bottle in the fridge for an extra refreshing feeling.
The Simple Things Can Be the Most Valuable
A foot bath, a homemade oil, a cooling mist. Sometimes that’s all it takes to feel a bit more grounded. And when you make it yourself, it becomes something created with care – thoughtfully tailored to you.
