Peppermint
Peppermint is a wonderful oil with a delightful fragrance, just like fresh mint. A refreshing, revitalizing scent that uplifts the mood and supports respiratory issues.
- Mix with a light organic oil (such as jojoba, almond, or avocado) and use as a cooling body oil for warm, itchy, and oily skin, for aching muscles, sore legs, or tired feet. Massage into feet in the evening before bedtime to relieve any cough - we think it works great. Use 2-3 drops per 10 ml of oil. You can also try this oil on your temples to prevent/relieve tension headaches.
- For colds and coughs; add a few drops of peppermint and eucalyptus to boiled water in a pot, add the drops when it's just boiled and inhale under a towel. An old tried and tested home remedy that works. Note! Keep your eyes closed! It's very effective against nasal congestion and colds.
Note! Not for those with asthma or young children.
- You can also add a few drops of eucalyptus and peppermint to the bath when you have a cold - 2-4 drops is sufficient.
- Peppermint also works great for hair treatments as it helps prevent dandruff. Dilute 5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml hair oil.
NOTE! Peppermint oil is NOT recommended for children under 3 years or pregnant women.

Safety with Essential Oils:
*Essential oils almost always require dilution before use on skin, textiles, and other materials - a few drops go a long way. *Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, can cause serious eye irritation. *It is important to know exactly which oils are safe to use for children, during illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Many are not. *A simple skin patch test is recommended if hypersensitivity is suspected. *Essential oils should never be consumed in concentrated form - it can be life-threatening! *Citrus oils such as bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime make the skin photosensitive. Avoid strong sunlight and tanning beds for at least 24 hours after skin application. *Each bottle should have a dropper insert for safe dosing. *Keep essential oils out of sight and reach of children. *Store the oil in a dark, cool, and airtight place to minimize oxidation.
