About the product
Bancha tea or Hojicha tea is a Japanese green tea that originated in Kyoto 100 years ago. Unlike traditional green teas, hojicha is roasted after the leaves have been steamed. Porcelain balls heated to 300°C enable the roasting process. This removes all bitterness and gives the tea its characteristic earthy aroma, reddish-brown color, and unique slightly smoky flavor. Its health benefits and pleasant taste make it one of the most consumed teas in Japan.
Aromandise Bancha comes from the prestigious Uji region that produces Japan's most renowned teas. It has been subject to meticulous care from cultivation to packaging. The tea is packed on-site in Japan to guarantee its freshness.
Bancha can be consumed in the morning, throughout the day, and is perfect for evening consumption due to its low theine content. Roasted Bancha is often enjoyed after meals. It is a suitable tea for the whole family.
Preparation: Mix approximately 1 teaspoon in a large cup or two teaspoons in a teapot. The ideal water temperature is 95° C. Let it steep for about 1 minute. The tea leaves can be advantageously reused for a second brewing. Simply add freshly boiled water.
