Fushi Castor Oil - Organic & Cold-Pressed, 250 ml
Description
Castor oil is a very unique product containing almost 90 percent ricinoleic acid. Such a high concentration is unusual - these unsaturated fatty acids make castor oil very nourishing for the skin. Castor oil is not absorbed by the skin very easily, which is why it is good in massage oils, as a cleansing oil, or as a rich hair oil, see below.
Benefits:
- Nourishes very dry skin.
- Suitable for massage. The oil is particularly pleasant when warmed before a massage and provides soothing relief for tired muscles. Works well when mixed with other oils for massage.
- Gives hair radiance and shine.
- The oil also works well as a facial cleanser, pigmentation spot oil, and nail oil.
Dosage/How to use:
Smooth undiluted onto the skin or use in the hair.
Castor oil for hair: Castor oil is now most commonly used on the hair and scalp, as well as on the ends of the hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows, to stimulate the hair follicles for improved hair growth, radiance, and fuller-looking hair.
Massage into the scalp and then pull through toward the ends of the hair. Leave on for approximately 30 minutes before washing out; it is recommended to do this 1-3 times a week. The thick oil can be difficult to wash out, so you often need to wash your hair twice. You can also gently warm the oil before applying it to your hair. It works excellently to mix 1/3 castor oil with 1/3 jojoba oil and 1/3 coconut oil in a clean bottle or jar to make your own hair oil. You can then add essential oil for fragrance if desired.
Castor oil for the face: The oil can also be used as a soothing facial cleanser.
Castor oil for massage: A good massage oil that can advantageously be used warm on stiff areas of the body.
Castor oil for the stomach: Make a relaxing abdominal compress with castor oil. Soak a thin, small cotton cloth with approximately 2 tbsp castor oil. Place it on the stomach and wrap several layers of plastic wrap (or similar) over the cloth around the stomach and back. Place something warm on the stomach, such as a heated wheat pillow or a hot-water bottle wrapped in fabric. Rest for approximately 30 minutes.
