How is Munkens honey made?

Munkens Honey is a Swedish honey that comes from Munkens' own apiaries. Their bees have access to the finest green areas.

Munkens collects the honey from the bees in the morning and extracts it in the afternoon without heating it. The honey is then strained (free-flowing) to remove any wax residue and then stirred for 2 days before being jarred.

They leave about 8-12 kg of honey with the bees but need to provide supplementary feeding with an additional 6-8 kg of sugar due to the cold climate in Sweden. This is only given when there is just a brood chamber on the hive during winter, meaning it can never end up in any honey.

Honey is healthy. It contains vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, has a lower GI value than sugar, and tastes sweeter than sugar. Honey has been used by humans for thousands of years, both as a sweetener and in natural medicine. Munkens honey is perfect for baking, sweetening beverages, and all kinds of cooking.

Ingredients: Swedish honey (max +32) directly jarred. Flavored with organic eucalyptus, peppermint oil, menthol, and Swedish propolis. Store at room temperature (+18-22). Water content max 20%. Not to be given to children under 1 year.
