Coconut sugar is an organic, evaporated sugar made from coconut palm flower nectar and has a higher nutritional content than other commercially available sweeteners. It contains high levels of potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron, as well as vitamins.
Traditional sugar farmers collect nectar from the flowers of these sustainably grown trees and then carefully process it into coconut palm sugar using traditional methods. This nectar is gently heated until it becomes a delightful unrefined sugar. It simmers at a low temperature (about 80 degrees) for an extended period to form crystals. The sugar then turns caramel brown and resembles raw cane sugar in taste with notes of toffee.
Usage: Palm sugar is easy to incorporate into various culinary dishes and beverages, from tomato sauce to your favorite dessert and superfood elixir recipes or a refreshing lemonade. It works well in desserts, chocolate, dishes, tea, bread, etc. Suitable for those who want to avoid regular white sugar. Palm sugar contains a naturally low glycemic index (GI35), which boasts almost half the GI of cane sugar. (Sugar = 68GI, Honey = 48GI, and Agave = 40GI.)
Contains: 100% organic coconut palm sugar. Packaged in a facility that also processes nuts. Please note that some coconut palm sugars on the market are also mixed with cane sugar or other ingredients. This coconut palm sugar is pure coconut palm nectar. No additives.
