Smectite Clay for Stain Removal & Cleaning

Terre de Sommières, as it's called in French, consists of pulverized clay that is often ochre-colored (although other shades exist). It is an ultra-fine smectite clay that can absorb up to 80% of its own weight in water.

It is a dry, environmentally friendly stain remover that leaves no traces and removes oily stains such as oil, butter, fuel, makeup, etc. The powder also absorbs other types of stains such as wine, coffee, or pet urine. The clay is harmless to both humans and animals.

Smectite clay works on both delicate textiles and hard surfaces, for example clothing, upholstery, interior details, carpets, leather, and floors made of wood, stone, tile, concrete, or marble.

Usage:
Sprinkle clay powder generously over the stain.
Let the clay work as is for at least 3 hours or longer if it's a particularly tough stain.
Remove by brushing off or vacuuming up the powder.
If it's a wet stain, wait until the powder has dried completely.
Repeat if necessary.
