Here we have put together a list of alternative products for those following protocols for medial health. We update this list continuously.

Some products have exactly the same content as the recommended ones and some have slightly different ingredients. We have focused on selecting those we believe are just as good and provide the same benefits in the body.

Remember that we only offer quality supplements with minimal additives from companies that strive to create the best for all of us.

1. LIQUID B12

Option 1: Glimja Liquid B-12

Glimja’s own product contains B-12 in the forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin in organic glycerin from flax seeds.

Option 2: Nature Provides Liquid B-12

Nature Provides has the forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin of vitamin B-12. The product comes in pure water with reverse osmosis instead of glycerin.

Option 3: Global Healing Liquid B-12 Triblend

Global Healing B-12 Triblend contains three forms of vitamin B12 – methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, and hydroxocobalamin. The glycerin in the product is made from organic mustard seeds.

Option 4: Närokällan Liquid Liposomal B-12

Närokällan’s liposomal B-12 contains both forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.

Option 5: Earth Harmony Liquid B-12

Global Healing’s Earth Harmony B-12 contains vitamin B12 in the form of methylcobalamin as well as vegetable glycerin and distilled water. The glycerin is made from organic mustard seeds.

Option 6: Pureness B-12 Lozenges

Lozenges are great when you don’t want a liquid formula. Pureness B-12 contains two types of B-12 (methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin) as well as folate in the active form Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF methylfolate and is sweetened with erythritol and stevia.

2. MAGNESIUM GLYCINATE

Option 1: Earth Harmony Magnesium Glycinate

The brand Earth Harmony contains only the magnesium glycinate type and uses MCT powder as filler. The capsule is made of cellulose.

Option 2: Nature Provides Magnesiumglycinate

Nature Provides contains only the magnesium glycinate type without fillers or additives.

Option 3: Holistic Magnesiumglycinate

Holistic contains only the magnesium bisglycinate type with a little B6 and uses MCT powder as filler. The capsule is made of hypromellose.

Option 5: Närokällan Magnesiumglycinate

Närokällan contains only the magnesium glycinate type and uses tapioca starch as filler. The capsule is made of pullulan, which is made from fermented tapioca.

Remember that it is only the capsule shell, very little, and that it can be opened and poured into some juice.

Option 6: Better You Magnesiumglycinate

Better You contains only the magnesium glycinate type and uses spinach extract and MCT powder as fillers. The capsule is made of cellulose.

Option 7: Nordbo Good Night Magnesium

Nordbo's product contains magnesium bisglycinate, B6, and chamomile in powder form for relaxation in the evening, before bedtime.

Option 8: Pureness Triple Magnesium

Contains magnesium malate, magnesium bisglycinate, and magnesium taurate.

These types of magnesium are extra gentle on the stomach and are effectively absorbed by the body, making them excellent choices.

3. LIQUID ZINC / ZINC SULFATE

Option 1: Glimja liquid zinc

Zinc sulfate, organic glycerin from flax seeds, and purified water.

Option 2: Earth Harmony liquid zinc

Zinc sulfate, vegetable glycerin, and distilled water.

Option 3: Nature Provides liquid zinc

Zinc sulfate. Contains only ionized zinc sulfate in reverse osmosis water, nothing else.

Option 4: Mary Ruth liquid zinc

Zinc in the form of zinc sulfate, glycerin from mustard seeds, and water.

Option 4: Alpha Plus liquid zinc

Zinc sulfate and purified water.

Option 5: Global Healing liquid zinc

This is a different kind of product as the zinc comes from Guava (fruit) leaves, a very pure and fine product. We are especially passionate about Global Healing's products because we know the knowledge and love behind them.

4. PH-NEUTRAL VITAMIN C

Option 1: Glimja pH-neutral Vitamin C

The capsules contain 500 mg vitamin C from calcium ascorbate and magnesium ascorbate and rutin extract, grape seed extract, acerola powder, rosehip extract, and a vegetable cellulose capsule.

Option 2: Better You Vitamin C powder

Vitamin C powder in the form of calcium ascorbate. Nothing else added.

Option 3: Better You Premium Vitamin C

The capsules contain calcium ascorbate and rosehip with a cellulose capsule as well as rice extract.

Option 4: Terranova Vitamin C Complex

Vitamin C in the forms calcium ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate, and potassium ascorbate.

It also contains their so-called Magnifood Complex, which consists of freeze-dried and organically grown plants that improve the absorption and effect of the product's nutrients.

Option 5: Camu Camu – Whole Food supplement

This product contains only one berry that is extremely rich in vitamin C: Camu Camu in a cellulose capsule.

In addition to vitamin C, Camu naturally contains beta-carotene and large amounts of the antioxidants anthocyanins and bioflavonoids.

Option 7: Liponaturals liposomal liquid

Liposomal vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid. Liposomal means that the vitamin C is encapsulated in a microscopic lipid sphere called a 'liposome' for very effective absorption in the body.

5. L-LYSINE

Option 1: Närokällan L-lysine (vegan)

L-lysine with tapioca starch filler and pullulan capsule.

Option 2: Better You L-lysine (vegan)

L-lysine HCl with broccoli extract 4:1, MCT powder, and zinc bisglycinate with capsule made of cellulose.

Option 2: Thorne L-lysine (vegetarian)

L-lysine HCl with filler silicon dioxide and capsule made of cellulose.

6. GABA

Option 1: Thorne GABA

Thorne's GABA has a slightly different content (see the website) and is vegetarian. It provides 100 mg in one capsule. Cellulose capsule.

Another option is to take a mixed product where all ingredients are carefully selected to promote relaxation and good sleep. Here are three examples.

Option 2: Holistic Sleep Balance

Sleep Balance is a blend with GABA and L-theanine as well as plant extracts from ashwagandha, saffron, hops, and lemon balm. Capsule made of cellulose.

Option 3: Närokällan Rofylld

Contains sour cherry extract, GABA, L-theanine, lemon balm extract, and chamomile extract. The product has a pullulan capsule.

Option 4: Better You Night

Night contains GABA and L-theanine, plant extracts from chamomile and lemon balm, as well as vitamin B6. Capsule made of cellulose.

7. MSM

“OptiMSM” is considered the best and purest MSM available, which is why most supplement manufacturers buy it from the same factory.

Each product then has slightly different ingredients.

Option 1: Helhetshälsa in capsule

Only OptiMSM in a cellulose capsule.

Option 2: Pureness in capsule with vitamin C

Contains both OptiMSM, vitamin C, and a bit of molybdenum.

Option 3: Holistic's OptiMSM in powder form

Only OptiMSM powder without additives. Does not taste good, so do not add this to a smoothie.

Option 4: Rawpowder MSM in powder form

Rawpowder's product consists of distilled MSM.

8. VEGAN OMEGA 3

Option 1: Opti3 liquid vegan Omega 3

Contains high-dose Opti3 complex: microalgae oil and sunflower oil, antioxidants, olive oil, and orange flavor, as well as vegan vitamin D3.

9.GLUTATHIONE/GLUTATHIONE

Option 1: Thorne Glutathione in capsule

Reduced glutathione. The product is vegetarian and provides 175 mg per capsule.

Option 2: Tesseract SafeCell in capsule

This is another form of glutathione said to be a very easily absorbed form; S-Acetyl-Glutathione.

SafeCell includes this form of glutathione in the effective delivery form CyLoc. However, it is expensive as it is an exclusive product but very effective.

Option 3: Liponaturals liquid liposomal glutathione

Some nutrition experts say glutathione should always be liposomal. Liponaturals doesn’t taste good but is a very fine product of the highest quality with Setria® reduced glutathione and phospholipids from sunflower lecithin.

Option 4: Närokällan liposomal liquid glutathione

Phospholipids from sunflower lecithin and sweetened with stevia and xylitol, with flavor from wild, genuine mango.

10. CURCUMIN / TURMERIC

Option 1: Gaia Herbs Turmeric

Turmeric of the highest quality, contains black pepper.

Option 2: MedicinGarden CuraMIN

Contains BCM95®, one of the most studied turmeric extracts in the world.

11. B-COMPLEX

Option 1: Pureness B-complex

Contains active forms of B vitamins and B-12 in the forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.

Lower dose of B-12, folic acid, and B5. The folic acid is in the form Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF methylfolate. Capsule made of cellulose.

Option 2: Holistic B-complex Mega B Methylated

Contains active forms of B vitamins and B-12 in the form methylcobalamin. Also contains the methyl donor betaine as well as inositol, PABA, and choline.

Capsule made of pullulan.

Option 3: Närokällan's Methyl B-50 B-complex

Contains active forms of B vitamins and B-12 in the form methylcobalamin. Capsule made of pullulan.

Also contains inositol, PABA, and choline.

Option 5: Better You Premium B-complex

Active forms of B vitamins with B-12 in the form methylcobalamin. Capsule made of cellulose plus added avocado extract and spinach extract.

Option 5: Thorne B-complex with extra B-12

Contains active forms of B vitamins and B-12 in the form methylcobalamin. Capsule made of cellulose. Also contains choline.

12. 5-MTHF 5 mg

5-MTHF is the most biologically active form of the B-vitamin folic acid.

Option 1: Thorne 5 MTHF – 5 mg

Also available in 1 mg if you want to lower the dose a bit. Folic acid in the form L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate Extrafolate-S®.

Option 2: Holistic B6, B12, Folate Methylated

Contains folic acid in the active form 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate Quatrefolic® as well as B6 and B-12 in the forms methylcobalamin and 5′-deoxyadenosylcobalamin.

13. CELERY SUPPLEMENT

Option 1: Närokällan Choline/Inositol

Choline helps with fat metabolism and supports the liver. Inositol is also called vitamin B8.

14. LIQUID VITAMIN D

Option 1: Holistic liquid vitamin D

D3 of vegetable origin from lichen, solid with olive oil. Contains 50 ml. Very affordable.

15. SPIRULINA

Option 1: Glimja Spirulina

Spirulina powder of the highest quality and among the purest spirulina products in the world. The farm where the algae are grown is located in a very remote area in the USA, in southeastern California, far from cities, highways, and airports.

Option 2: Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina

Grown in ponds in Hawaii. The manufacturer Nutrex is very transparent with their company, tests all spirulina in labs, and has total transparency.

Option 3: E3AFA algae

Yes, this is not spirulina, but it is a fantastic little algae we want to highlight: the AFA algae. It is a wild, blue-green freshwater algae considered one of nature's most versatile superfoods by many nutrition experts.

Option 4: Biosuperfood F2

BioSuperFood F2 is an advanced product based on four of the most nutrient-rich microalgae on earth. They are grown hydroponically, i.e., protected from the external atmosphere, to reach their full potential. This is a very fine product.

It contains two different spirulinas: Spirulina Platensis and Spirulina Pacifica, Dunaliella Salina, and Astaxanthin from Haematococcus Pluvialis.

16. BLUEBERRY

Blueberries are always nutritious and fantastic regardless of the variety. Many recommend "lowbush" blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium), but we prefer the Nordic blueberries (Vaccinium myrtillus).

Powder made from ground, wild, Swedish blueberries. The berries are wild-picked.

Option 3: RÅ Blueberry Juice
