Coconut oil is a wonderful basic product to have at home that can be used for both cooking and skincare.

Quality is important

There are several ways to extract coconut oil from the coconut meat. Pureness is cold-pressed, which means it is produced entirely mechanically without heating. This type of coconut oil is also called "virgin oil."

Unlike hot-pressed and refined oils, this cold-pressed coconut oil is gently processed to best preserve the natural fatty acids and nutrients.

Heat resistant

Coconut oil is heat resistant and is excellent for frying, cooking, and baking. It does not form trans fats when heated. Because the oil is cold-pressed, the natural flavor and the mild, pleasant coconut aroma are preserved.

Dosage & Usage

Coconut oil is excellent for heating and can therefore be used as frying fat and cooking oil in your cooking and baking. It contains no trans fats and cannot even form trans fats when heated. Since the oil is cold-pressed, the pleasant aroma and flavor remain. In LCHF and biohacking, a spoonful of coconut fat in morning coffee is popular – but for that purpose, you might prefer to try MCT oil instead.

Usage

Coconut oil is also excellent for skincare. It makes the skin smooth and feels nice to use on the body after showering. Some use coconut oil as a hair treatment, others for makeup removal, shaving, to counteract itching and eczema, or as after sun care.
