Activated charcoal consists of carbonized bamboo and is neutral in both taste and smell. It also gives a lovely, deep black color to most things and is used for natural coloring in food and beauty products.

In skincare products, activated charcoal can soothe acne, insect bites, and skin infections, as well as act as a detoxifying and cleansing agent.

Add ½ scoop (0.5 g) to give a black color. Can be used for example in bread, cakes, cookies, frosting, ice cream, pancakes, chia pudding, drinks, cocktails, and much more. Very popular around Halloween.
