High fiber content

Synbiotic combines lactic acid bacteria with a high content of dietary fiber. The fibers act as nourishment for the bacteria and accompany them on their journey down to the intestines. Once there, the fibers nourish the bacteria and create favorable conditions for them to multiply. The four bacterial strains are combined with four grams per serving of various plant fibers: pectin from citrus fruits, inulin from chicory root, resistant starch from corn, and beta-glucan from oats. In addition, dietary fiber is an important part of the diet for normal intestinal function.

25 years of clinical studies

Synbiotic is a Swedish-made dietary supplement based on more than 25 years of clinical studies. After more than 500 different lactic acid bacteria had been isolated and examined, four bacterial strains were selected and patented: Lactobacillus paracasei, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Leuconostoc mesenteroides. The strains belong to bacterial species that occur naturally in the gut flora and may also occur naturally in food.
