Oleuropein

Oleuropein is a natural bioactive compound primarily found in olive leaves and to some extent in olives and olive oil. It belongs to the group of polyphenols, plant compounds known for their antioxidant properties. Oleuropein protects the olive tree against microorganisms, bacteria, parasites, and even viruses.

In addition to oleuropein, the olive leaves provide eleven other important polyphenols and are rich in antioxidants. This olive leaf extract contains 50 mg of oleuropein per dose.

Protect cells against oxidative stress

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), a daily intake of at least 5 mg is required to achieve a beneficial effect. At this level, olive leaf extract helps protect cells against oxidative stress and helps preserve LDL cholesterol from oxidation.
